Privacy Policy

The short version

We don't store your files. Most tools run entirely in your browser and never upload anything. The few tools that do use a server delete your file immediately after processing — nothing is stored, logged, or backed up.

Files you process with a tool

Most image, PDF, audio, text, file, and data tools use browser APIs to process data on-device. Closing the tab or navigating away discards the working data, except for the browser-only session recovery described below.

Some tools send data to our server because the job can't be done in a browser (URL/DNS/HTTP-header checks, and any tool that says so on its own page). A file sent to our server is processed and deleted immediately afterward — never stored, logged, or backed up. For the URL-only tools, only the URL you enter is sent; no file is involved.

Data we collect

• Usage counters: aggregate anonymous tool-action counts through Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine. Events contain no file content or personal identifier.
• Optional web analytics: a deployment may use Google Analytics for aggregate page, approximate location, and device statistics. Google's privacy policy governs that data.
• Theme and language preferences: stored in your browser and used to remember your choices.

Data stored in your browser

Tool4U keeps a small amount of data on your device only. None of it is sent to our servers, and there is no account. You can delete all of it at the bottom of this page.

• Pinned and recent tools: the names of tools you pinned or opened (never their content). Kept until you clear them.
• Theme, language and image export choice: your display choices and the last image format and quality you exported with (never the image). Kept until you clear them.
• Session recovery: workspaces may save files and settings in your browser’s IndexedDB to recover from a refresh or crash. Sessions expire 48 hours after their last update; expired copies are deleted when a workspace next checks or cleans up recovery data, not by a background timer while the site is closed. You can delete them immediately using the local-data control below.
• Files passed between tools: using "Continue with" stores a local copy in IndexedDB. The receiving tool deletes that copy when it tries to open it and rejects transfers older than one hour. If you never open the transfer, the copy can remain until you delete local data below.

Cookies

The public site does not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. Optional analytics services may set their own cookies according to their documentation.

Advertising

Tool4U.net does not currently serve ads. This policy will be updated before an advertising network is enabled.

Third-party services

• Cloudflare provides hosting, edge delivery, and anonymous usage counters.
• Cloudflare's public DNS resolver is contacted only when you use the DNS Lookup tool.
• Google Analytics is contacted only when enabled for a deployment.

Children's privacy

Tool4U.net is a general-audience utility site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
