Exactly 1280 × 720 pixels
Choose an image and press Resize image. This preset draws the whole image into a 1280 × 720 canvas. It does not crop or add padding, so a source with a different aspect ratio is stretched.
Dimensions do not guarantee upload acceptance
The input limit is 50 MiB, with a separate 300 MiB decoded-image budget. Supported inputs depend on browser decoding. The browser re-encodes the canvas, so do not rely on source metadata or animation being preserved. The tool does not enforce a final file-size target.
Resizing does not upload to YouTube
Image pixels are processed locally. Download the result, inspect it and upload it yourself. Crop to 16:9 first if preserving proportions matters.
Compare two source shapes
1920 × 1080 landscape photo; 1000 × 1000 square photo Both become 1280 × 720. The landscape photo keeps its proportions; the square photo becomes wider unless you crop it to 16:9 before resizing.

FAQ
- Will my image get stretched?
- It is resized to the fixed 1280×720 (16:9) without preserving the original aspect ratio — a non-16:9 photo will be stretched to fit. Crop it to 16:9 first if you want it undistorted.
- Does this guarantee it passes YouTube's thumbnail requirements?
- No. This tool fixes dimensions only. Check the current upload requirements in YouTube Studio; this preset does not guarantee file size, format or account eligibility.
- Does this tool upload my photo anywhere?
- No — resizing happens locally on an HTML canvas in your browser.
